Editorial preface
The first issue of Rodnoy Yazyk for 2019 is special in several respects. First of all, this is the 10 th issue of our journal and can therefore rightly be deemed an anniversary issue. Secondly, 2019 marks 70 years since the birth of Dr. Mikhail E. Alekseyev, the late founder and first editor-in-chief of Rodnoy Yazyk. Thirdly, the articles in this issue are united by a single topic — linguistic aspects of translations of the Lord’s Prayer (the Gospel of Matthew 6:9-13) in the languages of Russia and its neighbouring countries...
